In this lesson you will learn the fundamentals of recreating The Legend of Zelda using the python mini app and processing library.
The original The Legend of Zelda for the NES was released in 1986. The game has changed over decades of sequels and looks vastly different from its modern equivalents. This classic title is an excellent game to attempt to recreate using python's processing library due to it's low-detail art style and simple gameplay allowing new users to easily understand it's mechanics as well as making an easy development environment for any programmers looking to recreate this title. The processing library is designed to render simple or complex 2d shapes and effects all within the python mini tool. This allows developers to render asset art in python allowing simplistic 2d video games to be easily created.
